"Pray Without Ceasing"

Ephesians 6:18 "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people."

It's hard to imagine that the Sovereign God wants us to seek His presence in prayer. Yet, from Genesis to Revelation the Bible speaks of the necessity of praying to know God's will to be done on earth as God as prescribed. In order His will to be accomplished on earth prayer must be prevalent in our daily lives. As we pray God equips us to infuse His love and mercy in our interactions with others.

Because we live in a world shrouded in darkness ee cannot cease to pray for God's light, strength, and guidance. A prayerless soul is a Christless soul. The prayer of a believer is the shout of victory over sin, the rejoicing of an unexpected blessing and requiem of a dying saint falling asleep in the arms of Jesus.

Scripture teaches us the sacred importance in the necessity of prayer. God has made prominent in his Word that He intended prayer to be conspicuous in our lives. Jesus modeled the need for prayer throughout His life on earth and expects His followers to imitate His example.

Prayer is the breath, the watchword, strength, and honor of a Christian. Christians continually need to seek our Father's face as we live in our Father's love. Pray that this year that you will set aside more time to have a closer communion with God! Pray that you will be a blessing to others and live more closely to the glory of our Master!

"Beautiful Garden of Prayer"

Eleanor Allen Schroll

Here's a garden where Jesus is waiting,
There's a place that is wondrously fair.
For it glows with the light of His presence,
'Tis the beautiful garden of prayer.

O the beautiful garden, the garden of prayer,
O the beautiful garden of prayer.
There my Savior awaits, and He opens the gates
To the beautiful garden of prayer.

There's a garden where Jesus is waiting,
And I go with my burden and care.
Just to learn from His lips, words of comfort,
In the beautiful garden of prayer.

There's a garden where Jesus is waiting,
And He bids you to come meet Him there,
Just to bow and receive a new blessing,
In the beautiful garden of prayer.
